This Contest is intended for viewing and participation in the United States only and shall be evaluated and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. This Contest is restricted to entrants who are legal residents of and reside within the 50 United States and District of Columbia and who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entering the Contest.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. To enter the BeeWell for Life "Bee At Your Walk Essay" contest, go to www.BeeattheWalk.com ("Web Site") beginning at 12:01 am (ET) on April 15, 2010 and ending at 5:00 pm (PT) on April 22, 2010 (the "Promotion Period") and follow the link to enter your essay of "why you should be at your local walk on Sunday May 9th" essay. Limit: Only one essay entry per e-mail address. Free internet access is available at many public libraries and schools and free e-mail accounts are available through a variety of providers. Must have valid e-mail address and household street address, no PO boxes accepted. This is not a sweepstakes, no mass-produced entries allowed. Mass produced entries will invalidate all entries. These rules may not be reproduced or reprinted in part or in their entirety without the express written permission of the sponsor.
2. Prize: Three (3) City Walk Prizes will be awarded. One (1) prize in each of the following cities: Cleveland, OH; Miami, FL and Los Angeles, CA. Each winner will receive one (1) Flip Video camera to use in their cities Walk against Breast Cancer on Sunday May 9, 2010. Approximate Retail Value $199. Total value all prizes $597. If prize is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, or if winner cannot be reached based from the information included in his/her entry, prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected, time permitting. All prizes will be awarded provided enough qualified entries are received for each city.
3. Judging: All submitted essays will be judged and evaluated based on the following judging criteria: Creativity (30%); Subject matter (40%); Style (30%). Representatives from Bumble Bee Foods and Breast Cancer Network of Strength will review all submitted essays that meet the above criteria. The winning essays will be determined by the judging panel. Anthony & Associates, an independent judging organization, decisions are final and binding in all matters regarding this contest. In the event of a tie, tied entrants must participate in a tiebreaker question, essay or other skill-based competition designated by the judges and sponsor. Winners' will be notified and/or receive their prize within thirty (30) days after the contest closing date. All entries become the property of Bumble Bee Foods and will not be returned. Entries must be the original creation of the entrant, may not have won previous awards, may not have been published previously and must not infringe third-party rights. Submission of an entry grants Bumble Bee Foods and its agents the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such entry in any way, in commerce and in any and all media, without limitation, and without consideration to the entrant. Submission of any entry further constitutes the entrant's irrevocable assignment and transfer to Bumble Bee Foods of any and all rights, title and interest in and to the entry, including, without limitation, all copyrights.
4. ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to legal U.S. residents who reside in the cities of: Miami, FL, Cleveland, OH and Los Angeles, CA only and who are 18 years of age or older, including employees of Bumble Bee Foods, LLC ("Sponsor") at the time of entry.
5. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Submission of an answer grants Sponsor and its agents the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such entry in any way, in commerce and in any and all media, without limitation, and without consideration to the entrant. Submission of any entry further constitutes the entrant's irrevocable assignment and transfer to Sponsor of any and all rights, title and interest in and to the entry, including, without limitation, all copyrights. By accepting a prize, Winner waives the right to assert as a cost of winning said prize, any and all costs of redemption or travel to redeem said prize and any and all liability that might arise from redeeming or seeking said prize and winner releases sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, officers, directors, and promotion and advertising agencies from any and all liability, loss or damage, incurred with respect to the awarding, receipt, possession, use and/or misuse of any prize or participation in any prize related activities and acknowledge that said parties have neither made, nor are in any manner responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to prize including its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose. Winner will be solely responsible for paying all applicable federal, state or local taxes on prize based upon the published value of the prize as set forth in these rules. Sponsor is not responsible for the failure or unavailability of hardware, software, electronic communications, interrupted or unavailable network server or other Internet connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer transmissions or jumbled, scrambled or misdirected entries or transmissions, or for phone, electrical, network, computer hardware or software or program malfunctions, failures or difficulties or for other errors, omissions, interruptions, or deletions of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic or for any damage to any person's computer related to participating in the Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for illegible, unintelligible, late, lost or stolen entries or incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by Internet users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest or by any technical or human errors which may occur in the processing of any entries in this Contest. Persons found tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and may be subject to prosecution. Any entrant, who attempts to play with multiple identities or uses any other device or artifice to play multiple times or to interfere with the proper play of this Contest, will be disqualified from participation in the Contest. If in the judgment of Sponsor, the Contest is compromised by virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupts the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to discontinue, suspend, terminate or modify the Contest. In the event of any such discontinuation, suspension, termination or modification, the winners of any remaining prizes not yet won will be determined from among all eligible entries received to date that are unaffected by the problem, in a random drawing to be conducted by the judges following the discontinuation, suspension, termination or modification of the Contest. By entering this Contest, entrants agree that each entry becomes the property of Sponsor and that such entry may be used by the Sponsor for any proper purpose. Except for Contest entry and personally identifying information which the winners agree to disclose in the Publicity/Liability Release, all personally identifiable information collected during the entrant's participation in the Contest will be collected and used by Sponsor, its affiliates, agents and marketers for the proper administration and fulfillment of the Contest, as described in these Official Rules and in accordance with the Sponsor's privacy policy at: http://www.bumblebee.com/Privacy/. Any attempt to defraud Sponsor will be prosecuted and will result in disqualification and forfeiture of prize. No duplicate or multiple entries from one household will be accepted. Entries must be the original creation of the entrant, must not have won previous awards, must not have been published previously and must not infringe third-party rights. Except for contest entry and personally identifying information which the winners agree to disclose in the Publicity/Liability Release, all personally identifiable information collected during the entrant's participation in the Contest will be collected and used by Sponsor, its affiliates, agents and marketers for the proper administration and fulfillment of the contest, as described in these Official Rules. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. The interpretation of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the state of California. Any and all disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the state of California exclusively, and subject to the laws of the state of California. Should there be a conflict between the laws of the state of California and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the state of California.
6. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
7. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a subscriber based on an e-mail address, the subscription will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail account at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the e-mail account . This offer is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. The interpretation of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any and all disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the State of California exclusively, and subject to the laws of the State of California. Should there be a conflict between the laws of the State of California and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the State of California. By entering, subscribers consent to the jurisdiction and venue of the federal, state and local courts located in San Diego, California.

Requests must be postmarked by April 22, 2010 and received by April 29, 2010.
10. Void outside the United States, in any city other than: Miami, FL; Cleveland, OH; Los Angeles, CA and where prohibited by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Contest starts on April 15, 2010 and ends April 22, 2010.
